When the amazing roof replacement team from Housworth Construction arrived at the home in the Canton, GA area, they found a roof that had endured hail damage and unsightly black algae streaks. Before starting, we want to ensure the surrounding landscaping will be left pristine. We laid down decking sheets beneath the blue tarp before beginning work, taking particular care to protect the large Japanese maple tree in the yard. With the site secured, we removed the ridge shingles and installed premium Owens Corning Supreme 3-Tab shingles, delivering both an updated aesthetic and the weather-resistance this home needed.
Housworth Construction didn’t stop at surface looks. They removed the outdated valley metal and replaced it with Owens Corning’s WeatherLock Self-Sealing Ice & Water Barrier, offering far superior protection against leaks and water intrusion. At the same time, the crew upgraded the home’s gutters from a 5-inch system to a 6-inch K-Style gutter system, readying the property for heavier rainfall and better drainage.
Finally, to bring the home fully up to current code and performance standards, the crew balanced the intake and outtake ventilation system in the attic and installed a drip edge along the rake, something the home had been lacking previously. With these details attended to, premium shingles, advanced underlayments, enhanced gutters, proper ventilation, and code-worthy drip edge. This picture displays the installation of the WeatherLock Self-Sealing Ice & Water Barrier in the valley to prevent future leaks. The customer had previously installed valley metal in each valley, but we upgraded their protection by installing Owens Corning's WeatherLock Self-Sealing Ice & Water Barrier, which offers superior defense against water infiltration.
Ridge Vent Cut
This image illustrates how the crew cut the opening for the ridge vent installation. We upgraded this customer's system to a balanced intake and exhaust ventilation system to ensure proper airflow throughout the house.
Drip Edge Installation
