The Housworth Construction team is working on a new roof, chimney, & gutter replacement project in the Milton, GA service area. Cheryl, a proud property owner, was researching to find a trustworthy roofing contractor to visit her home, discuss her project ideas, and execute them to the fullest. During her exploration, she came across Housworth Cinstruction. Based on the local reputation and amazing Google reviews, she decided to give them a call. Richard went out and sat with Cheryl to provide options for the exterior upgrades.
An inspection of the roof, chimney, and gutters was conducted on the same day and found evidence that supported her home's needs. We found that the Chimney had buckling in the stucco and needed to be re-wrapped & repaired. The asphalt shingle roof was ready for replacement. The general rule is that a roof needs to be replaced every 20 years. While inspecting the roof, we saw reasons to remove and replace the gutters. This is a common practice when replacing your roof. After hearing Richard's suggestion, Cheryl decided to move forward with the exterior modifications.
We started by working our way from the top down. We surfaced the stucco chimney before removing & installing the new roofing shingles. Once we completed the roof, we turned our attention to the gutters. In the end, this homeowner was 10% satisfied with the results. This garage floor got a much needed paint job. Our customer was tired of looking at the dirty oily floor from the previous owners. Housworth Construction helped our customer pick the color & after a few days it was ready to be parked in.
Housworth installed this roof over 14 years ago. Our customer called and reported that his roof was leaking and needed us to come out. We sent out a technician to inspect the leak. The technician found that the complete roof system was still water tight, but the furnace vent was rusted and this was the cause of the leak.
Our customer Bob was looking to replace a door in his basement with something that had more security for his panic room. He was looking for security with something he could be locked inside in case of theft or unintended intrusion. He picked a Snapsafe vault room door. This door comes with a digital lock & a backup key for safety. It has a 1-hour fire rating & 8 locking bolts for protection.
When Steve, a homeowner in Alpharetta, Georgia, decided it was time to modernize one of the four bathrooms in his home, he turned to Housworth Construction for a high-end transformation. His goal extended beyond a simple renovation; he envisioned a luxurious, spa-like steam shower that would offer daily relaxation and long-term value.
To bring this vision to life, the Housworth team utilized premium materials, including marble, granite, and designer tile, to ensure both durability and aesthetic appeal. Granite was selected for the built-in shower bench due to its ability to withstand moisture and its elegant finish. For added functionality, the bench was designed with a subtle overhang to prevent water from pooling underneath.
A critical aspect of the installation was creating a fully enclosed, steam-retentive environment. This was achieved by installing watertight doors and double-paned windows, ensuring heat and humidity stayed where they belonged. The ceiling was also carefully engineered with a slight slope, approximately two inches per foot, to direct condensation toward the walls, preventing water from dripping directly onto users. Even the tile selection played a role in maintaining the proper pitch and structural integrity of the ceiling.
With expert craftsmanship and thoughtful design, Steve’s new steam shower not only delivers a serene, spa-like experience but also has the potential to increase his home’s value by over 30%.
