Interior Remodeling Photo Album: Floor Staining in Progress: A Behind-the-Scenes Look with Richard
Richard is walking us through the next exciting phase of this flooring transformation project. All of the floors have now been sanded down to reveal their original beauty, creating a clean, even surface ready for staining. Before beginning any staining, our installation team took extra steps to protect the home by carefully applying protective film in high-traffic and vulnerable areas—ensuring cleanliness and safety throughout the project.
We’re now preparing to begin the staining process. As part of our detailed preparation, we’re testing the selected stain in a discreet section of the floor. This crucial step helps confirm that the color aligns with the homeowner’s vision and enhances the natural grain and character of the wood.
Once the stain is applied, it’s essential to give it ample time to dry. We ensure the area is well-ventilated to allow the stain to cure properly and to reduce exposure to any lingering fumes, which can affect individuals differently. Drying time can span a few days, and we take this process seriously to ensure a safe environment and a high-quality finish. Patience during this phase is key to achieving long-lasting, beautiful results.
