Housworth Construction recently completed a stunning screened-in porch that blends craftsmanship, comfort, and the natural beauty of wood into one inviting space. The project began with the careful pouring of a solid foundation, ensuring a level and stable base to build on. Once the concrete had cured and settled, our crew moved quickly into framing—making sure every angle was square and every beam was plumb for lasting structural integrity.
As the framework took shape, the vision for the porch began to come to life. The team installed durable screening to enclose the space, creating a protected outdoor area where homeowners can relax without the hassle of bugs or harsh weather. One of the highlights of this project was the homeowner’s decision to embrace a natural wood finish, allowing the rich grain and character of the material to shine. This choice adds warmth and authenticity, turning the porch into a seamless extension of the home’s aesthetic.
With construction complete, the exterior of the new structure was painted to match the existing house, tying the project together beautifully. The result is a functional, stylish screened-in porch that enhances curb appeal and adds year-round enjoyment to the home.
Beginning step of Screen-in Porch
Here, we pored the foundation. Once it dried and settled, we started building the framework. It's critical that the foundation is even and the framework is square & plumb.
Framework is nearly finished.
From here, we are going to install the walls and add the screening.
Natural wood finish
Looking through the eyes of the homeowner, they preferred a natural wood finish over a stained look. This looks amazing!
